As part of our journey to integrate sustainability into our operations, we are seeking a driven and analytical individual to join our dynamic ESG team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful sustainability initiatives within the private equity real estate sector, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive meaningful results. The Sustainability Analyst will report to the Head of Sustainability and play a vital role in advancing our ESG goals, contributing to both internal strategy and external communications. Key Responsibilities: Support sustainability and climate risk management by analysing and interpreting data, leveraging Excel and other tools to generate actionable insights. Create dashboards and reports for internal updates and external stakeholder communication. Assist in preparing the firm’s annual Sustainability Report, ensuring compliance with reporting standards such as IFRS, PRI, and MAS environmental risk management guidelines. Support ESG assurance processes and implementation of aligned best practices. Conduct ESG and climate due diligence for potential acquisitions and collaborate with teams to integrate findings into strategic decisions. Collaborate on developing ESG-related policies, guidelines, and communications for internal and external use. Partner with the investor relations team to align ESG strategies with investor expectations and reporting. Develop and implement Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Requirements: A university degree in any relevant field (e.g., business, communications, engineering, finance, or humanities). Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to analyse, interpret, and present data effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively across teams. Analytical mindset with a natural aptitude for numbers and data-driven problem-solving. General understanding of real estate investment, ESG, and sustainability issues. However, a newly acquired property has limited historical data on energy usage, water management, and other ESG metrics. Collecting this data will take months, but investors expect immediate updates on the property’s sustainability performance. To complicate matters, there is no clear timeline for upgrading the property’s data tracking systems. The Management has requested recommendations on managing investor communications while maintaining transparency and credibility. Task Draft an internal email (not exceeding 500 words), with the objective to respond to the Management’s request, outlining: The challenges of meeting investor expectations given the data limitations. A pragmatic short-term solution to provide transparency while working on data collection. A proposed timeline for resolving the issue and improving data quality. Your thought process for prioritising these recommendations under resource constraints (e.g., staff time, budget). Your brief reflection on how this experience could inform the firm’s broader ESG reporting strategy. Evaluation Focus
