The company offers so many ways for me to learn and grow, both professionally and personally. Duties and responsibilities related to the Assistant Manager - Engineering role:
- Provide guidance and direction to the engineering team, ensuring that colleagues are motivated, engaged, and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Support the Director of Engineering and Engineering Manager with the day-to-day running of the department.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts to identify and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner, minimizing disruptions to operations.
- Mentor and train maintenance colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
- Manage maintenance inventory, ensuring that necessary parts and supplies are available to support maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
Qualifications
- Ideally the candidate should have a degree or diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering and/or Building Management.
- Knowledge in preventive maintenance program and special projects will be valuable.
- Technical knowledge of air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration systems, fire main systems, sprinklers, water/waste treatment or hydraulics will be an advantage.
