Job Summary Jascon Engineering is seeking an experienced Instrument Tube Fitter to support instrumentation projects and maintenance activities in the Oil & Gas sector at Ras Laffan. The ideal candidate will be skilled in fabricating, installing, and testing tubing systems for instrumentation and control systems. Candidates holding a valid Ras Laffan Gate Pass will be given preference. Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and install tubing systems for process instrumentation and control systems.
- Assemble, bend, and fit tubing for pneumatic, hydraulic, and process applications.
- Select appropriate tubing materials and fittings based on specifications and industry standards.
- Read and interpret P&ID drawings, isometric drawings, and installation specifications.
- Conduct hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of tubing systems to ensure quality and integrity.
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of tubing systems as required.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards during installation and maintenance activities.
- Maintain tools and equipment used for tubing fabrication and installation.
- Work collaboratively with other disciplines to support project requirements.
- High school diploma or technical certification in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as an Instrument Tube Fitter, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proficiency in tube bending, swaging, and fitting installation techniques.
- Knowledge of materials such as stainless steel, copper, and other alloys commonly used in tubing systems.
- Familiarity with international standards such as ASME, API, and ISO for instrumentation tubing.
- Ability to use specialized tools such as tube benders, cutters, and swaging tools.
- Strong understanding of safety practices in hazardous environments.
- Ability to work in a team environment and under tight deadlines.
- Preference will be given to candidates holding a valid Ras Laffan Gate Pass.
- Certifications in H2S Awareness, Confined Space Entry, and Permit to Work systems are an advantage.
- Valid Qatar residency/work permit (if applicable).
