Applications are sought for Ad Astra Fellow - Assistant Professor in Health and Climate Change within the College of Health and Agricultural Sciences.The School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science is a research-intensive school with diverse teaching and research interests across the fields of Public Health, Physiotherapy, Dietetics, Sport Science, Sport Management, Occupational Safety and Health, and Food Safety. The School is unified in its vision to promote health and wellbeing through education, research and professional practice. We deliver a number of accredited programmes and are committed to the highest standards in undergraduate and graduate education and research supervision. The School was awarded the Athena SWAN Bronze Award in 2021.Applications are particularly welcome from candidates with demonstrable expertise in the interaction of the climate emergency and human health which include, climate impacts, risk and resilience, disaster preparedness, food safety and security, waste interaction, pollution and impacts from extreme events, and ideally with experience of working on such issues with a broad range of disciplines (e.g., veterinary science).95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above the Bar (7943) Salary Scale: €62,855 - €99,533 Per AnnumAppointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on the 21st February 2025.Applications must be submitted by the closing date and time specified.
