Key Responsibilities:
• Construction and Installation:
o Framing walls and ceilings with precision.
o Installing doors and hanging plaster when needed.
• Measurement and Layout:
o Wall set-out and marking to ensure accurate alignment and dimensions.
o Reading and interpreting detailed plans and blueprints.
• Repair and Maintenance:
o Assessing and repairing structures, fixtures, and furniture to restore them to optimal condition.
• Organizing and Coordination:
o Organizing jobs and team members for specific tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
o Attending meetings to discuss project progress and address any challenges.
• Safety and Compliance:
o Adhering to safety guidelines, building codes, and regulations. Proactively mitigating potential risks to maintain a safe environment.
• Quality Assurance:
o Maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship. Inspect and refine work to meet specifications and expectations.
• Material and Equipment Management:
o Selecting and procuring quality materials for projects.
o Ensuring tools and equipment are well-maintained and functional, reporting malfunctions as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a carpenter or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting plans and technical drawings.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools.
- Strong understanding of framing, wall set-out, and installation techniques.
- Effective organizational and leadership abilities to manage tasks and teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for attending meetings and collaborating with team members.
- Physical stamina and dexterity for manual tasks.
- Experience in hanging plaster and advanced carpentry techniques.
- Knowledge of sustainable building practices.
- Certifications in carpentry or construction-related fields.
