Responsibilities
- Determine and set competitive room rates to stay in the limelight and earn higher revenue.
- Constantly track and compare revenue received from different sources to set relevant budgets.
- Meet and maximize revenue through upselling, developing new clients, and ensuring current guests become regulars.
- Perform appropriate analysis to assist in making revenue optimization recommendations and review the effectiveness of the hotel’s pricing regularly.
- Attend various operational meetings on a periodic basis and provide relevant recommendations to achieve maximum yield for the hotel.
- Maintain a good business database in OTA, Travel Agent & FIT.
- Create promotional campaigns to generate business, tracking customer trends and reservations.
- Generate revenue reports and financial statements for management review. Forecast monthly revenue and identify and communicate revenue opportunities to management.
- Ensure that all room statistics reports and any other related reports are accurate and consistent.
- Be fully conversant with hotel room type and availability, assisting guests with reservation inquiries and bookings as may be required. Forecast future demands and pricing trends.
- Attend to customer inquiries through calls and emails, providing accurate information.
- Record and process reservations made by phone, fax, and emails.
- Maintain knowledge of special rates, offers, and promotions.
- Monitor reservation levels and inform management of current and future occupancy rates.
- Responsible for the hotel room occupancy.
- Review all guest arrivals and ensure that rooms are assigned according to the reservation and preferences.
- Create a positive hotel image in every interaction with internal and external customers.
- Coordinate with other departments within the hotel regarding customer requirements, future bookings, sales trips, and conferences as needed.
- Willing to travel to other states and meet potential clients.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements
- A strong experience in hospitality forecasting, pricing, and inventory control.
- Minimum Diploma/Degree holders in any discipline.
- Must be very well-versed in English; Bahasa and Chinese speaking will be an added advantage.
- At least 5 years of working experience in a related field is required for this position.
- Able to handle a high volume of inquiries in a call center environment.
- Confident and customer service-oriented individual.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public.
