- To prepare monthly financial and management reports, group quarterly reports, budgeting and cash flow projections, and business analysis, with particular emphasis on timeliness and accuracy.
- To review and properly maintain the financial/costing/accounting records and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements of MFRS/FRS.
- Monitor the day-to-day financial operations such as invoicing, payments, journal entries, cash flows, and other transactions.
- To conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities;
- To liaise with both internal and external parties including financial institutions, auditors, tax agents, tax authorities, company secretaries, and government bodies for statutory and legislative requirements.
- To proactively identify key issues and opportunities and make value-added recommendations to management on financial and non-financial matters.
- Responsible for handling company SST for SST monthly reports and payments. To ensure SST compliance and filing;
- Coordinating with the Investment Banker, lawyers, and other advisors for all relevant information required in compliance with the regulator’s guidelines;
- Responsible for Corporate Finance matters especially in fundraising, ensuring reporting compliance to Bursa and relevant authorities;
- To maintain a positive professional relationship with partner financial institutions;
- To set goals and objectives, and design a framework for the department's KPIs; and
- To help and handle any ad-hoc assignment as and when required by the Management.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ Finance or relevant professional qualification (MIA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA);
- Handling full sets of accounts including taxation, cash flow, statutory compliances, and treasury matters in a public listed Company;
- Good verbal and written skills in English, Malay, and Mandarin as candidate may need to communicate with Mandarin speaking clients;
- Minimum 8 years post qualifications working experience of which at least 3 years as an Account Manager in the property development and construction industry;
- 5 years of audit working experience added advantage;
- With Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements rules and regulations knowledge will advantage;
- Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions on a timely basis;
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential;
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency; and
- Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants will advantage.
