Job Description

• Setting up and maintaining supplier call cycle.
• Preparing and meeting with suppliers daily as per call cycle.
• Developing and maintaining supplier relationships.
• Setting up supplier trade plans to manage and achieve objectives for supplier sales growth.
• Managing promotion grid and margin expectations.
• Conducting ad hoc budget analysis.
• Performing market price surveys and assisting in price/deal negotiations with suppliers.
• Creating purchase orders, ensuring all purchases are made according to the company’s policies and procedures.
• Ensuring supplier pickups are completed.
• Following up on outstanding orders to ensure timely deliveries.
• Monitoring supplier delivery efficiencies.
• Achieving stock management objectives, ensuring stock is maintained at all times.
• Maximizing working capital by utilizing supplier payment terms.
• Managing dog lines, negative stock, ageing stock, and overstock situations.
• Addressing low stock levels and supplier claims.
• Setting prices using market surveys.
• Conducting daily floor walks to assess look and feel, ticketing, merchandising, and checking for supplier damages.
• Managing promotional activities in line with store grid.
• Generating creative ideas to drive supplier and category growth.
• Interacting with customers in-store and conducting visits.
• Continuously seeking new ideas to drive and grow the business.
• Gaining product knowledge for accounts.
• Identifying opportunities for growth with suppliers.
• Planning and executing promotional grids to drive sales.
• Liaising with the internal sales team to generate sales, ensuring bought stock is sold stock.
