JOB OVERVIEW Responsible for recruiting, training, and managing authorized resellers to sell company products and services in geographic areas or named accounts. Maximize revenue through all sales-oriented activities including adding value to products, support of sales promotions, advertising, and marketing activities. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and pursue new business through effective management of reseller/distributor representative companies and associates.
- Achieve business revenue objectives by assigned reseller entity.
- Assure distributor reps are educated on our products.
- Integrate brick & mortar strategies with online and new media marketing and sales strategies to enhance our sales and enhance the reputation and effectiveness of our distributors.
- Track and monitor end-user customer satisfaction to retain business and execute marketing and promotions strategies to achieve or exceed new sales revenue targets.
- Complete administrative reporting accurately and on time and accurately forecast revenues.
- Manage, train, motivate, and direct the team to optimize productivity and promote professional growth.
- Master the basic features and benefits of our primary products.
- Know local company players in our Test and Measurement industry and evaluate them where required. Gather information on market and competition to proactively develop and maintain distributor’s strategy.
- Implement the distribution channel collaborating strategy for distributors in cooperation with the regional sales manager.
- Develop new distribution accounts and maintain durable relationships with distributors.
- Fluent in English and French, both verbally and in writing.
- Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or equivalent.
- Customer-friendly attitude and a minimum of 10 years successful sales experience and, if possible, business partner management experience.
- Proven experience of engaging directly with customers.
- Excellent sales skills from prospecting to closing.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Solid understanding of the Electrical Market and Test & Measurement industry and players/competitors.
- Strong team player with the ability to work successfully in a multicultural organization.
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time in Africa.
- Experience in managing people.
- Proven legal compliance record.
- Driving license.
- Ability to translate technical product information into strong customer value propositions.
