Manager - Finance & Accounts

AIM Media House is a global leader in AI and analytics media, known for hosting premier events, publishing cutting-edge research, and driving thought leadership in the AI ecosystem. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager - Finance & Accounts to lead our financial operations and ensure the organization’s fiscal health and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management:

• Oversee the preparation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial performance to leadership.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize resource allocation and profitability.

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GST and other statutory requirements.
• Review and approve journal entries, invoices, and other financial transactions.

• Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and timely submission of returns (GST, TDS, income tax, etc.).
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure process efficiency.

• Oversee payroll processing and compliance with labor laws and statutory deductions (PF, ESI, etc.).
• Reconcile payroll-related accounts and manage employee expense reimbursements.

• Manage direct and indirect tax compliance, filings, and assessments.
• Ensure proper tax planning to optimize the organization’s tax liabilities.

• Provide actionable insights through financial analysis, including variance analysis, cost analysis, and performance tracking.
• Prepare detailed MIS reports and dashboards for leadership review.

• Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance their professional growth.

• Manage vendor payments, contracts, and negotiations to ensure timely and efficient financial transactions.
• Collaborate with external consultants and advisors on financial matters.

• Experience: 5+ years in finance, accounting, or related roles, preferably in media, events, or technology sectors.
• Education: CA/CPA/CFA or MBA in Finance is strongly preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems) and MS Excel.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of GST, TDS, and other regulatory compliances in India.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present financial insights to leadership.
