• Identify and assess financial risks, such as market volatility, credit risk, and operational risk.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to protect the organization from financial threats.

• Evaluate investment opportunities and capital allocation decisions.
• Optimize the organization's capital structure and manage debt and equity financing.

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and minimize tax liabilities.
• Work with tax professionals to develop tax-efficient strategies.

• Establish and maintain strong internal financial controls to safeguard the organization's assets.
• Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures.
• Conduct financial analysis, including cost-benefit analysis and financial modelling, to support strategic decision-making.

• Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as auditors, regulators, investors, and financial institutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with key financial partners.
• Manage and mentor the finance team.
• Provide leadership and direction to the finance department.

• Ensure compliance with all financial and legal requirements, including regulatory filings and reporting.

• Implement and oversee financial management systems and technology to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or professional certification is a plus).
• Proven experience in financial management, preferably in an export or international trade environment.
• Strong understanding of international trade and foreign exchange.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good experience in managing a finance team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the Syspro accounting package is essential.
