KEY ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support and maintain end-user requirements, including troubleshooting, account maintenance, and training.
- Work within a team to automate management tasks, streamline processes, and perform standard administration functions as needed.
- Resolve cross-functional issues at a technical level.
- Carry out industry standard tests to diagnose and resolve faults.
- Explain technical solutions to non-technical staff.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of the skills required to monitor and diagnose problems relating to the technical area.
- Adhere to SOPs, technical and architectural documentation to agreed quality standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Maintain professionalism, a good attitude, and appropriate behavior with IM personnel, clients, and vendors.
- Be presentable and clean daily.
- Lead by example, be flexible, and willing to work overtime as requested by management.
- Be open-minded in collecting information needed to complete tasks if no SOP is in place.
- Comply with and understand AA H&S requirements.
- Show initiative and collaborate with relevant management and fellow co-workers.
- Identify high-risk areas related to the IM Environment and work on possible solutions to mitigate the risks.
- Ensure timely ticket resolution with accurate feedback.
- Stay abreast of advances in technology, primarily Operational Technology (OT) Networking.
- Manage and support the various environments.
- Manage security, software, and licenses.
- Set up and maintain security rights and access permissions.
- Provide the necessary user documentation.
- Review project activities for compliance with procedures and standards.
- Play a lead role in the development and implementation of networks in the area of responsibility.
- Contribute to technical strategy, policy, and procedures for IM.
- Produce technical and architectural documentation to agreed quality standards.
- Report on progress/issues to management and users.
- Control budget and forecast in an environment of responsibility.
- Manage and liaise with supplier/contractual relationships.
- Assist in the execution of OT projects.
- Define requirements for reporting and interfacing.
- Provide technician training and skill transfers.
- Analyze current and future processes/systems.
- Plan and perform appropriate procedures, documentation, inventory assessments, and other procedures related to responsibility within Industrial IT Networks.
- Maximize system availability and performance through fault-tolerant configurations, efficient network architectures, and proactive monitoring.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly workplace/office.
