An exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our client, a leading plastics manufacturing company based in West Limerick on a permanent contract . This is a fully onsite position and will be based on a 4 Cycle shift pattern (Mix of Days/Night Shift). Role Responsibilities:

  • The Maintenance Technician will work with colleagues in a safe environment adhering to safety procedures at all times.
  • Work with your team and the engineering teams to root cause and problem solve issues.
  • The Maintenance Technician will assist with the introduction and validation of new tooling as required.
  • Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly manner by practicing good housekeeping.
  • Day to day maintenance of production lines in a busy environment.
  • Troubleshoot processes, machines, and auxiliary equipment problems and make necessary changes to ensure quality and reduce downtime.
  • Set process parameters to ensure product meets dimensional and quality requirements.
  • Ensure compliance to all related procedures, policies, and work instructions.
  • Support new tool design and development.
  • Preventative maintenance approach to be taken with regards to machines and all auxiliary equipment. Ensuring PM plans as per machine supplier recommendations is maintained to the highest level of asset care.
Role Requirements:
  • Mechanical, Automation, Maintenance or Fitter Craft Certificate or equivalent.
  • Courses completed/experience in injection moulding is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Good general knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Experience in factory/manufacturing environment an advantage.
