The Role: The Junior Data Analyst will play a key role in unlocking the power of data to drive decision-making and operational efficiency at Rentoza. This role is ideal for a motivated individual eager to apply their analytical skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will collect, analyse, and visualise data to uncover insights that guide the subscription economy in Africa. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data-driven solutions for business challenges.
- Collect, clean, and organise large datasets for analysis.
- Create reports and dashboards to track key performance metrics.
- Analyse trends and patterns in customer behaviour, subscription performance, and operational data.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data findings.
- Support the development and optimisation of predictive models and algorithms.
- Ensure data quality and maintain documentation of data processes.
- Ability to create data documentation and visualisations for external partners such as investors.
- Good presentation skills are a must.
- Proficient in data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Power BI, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with statistical methods and techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex information simply.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in data analysis or a related role (internship experience considered).
- Proficiency in SQL and a programming language such as Python or R.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or GCP is a plus.
- Looker Studio, Power BI, or similar visualization tools
