We are looking for a Security Engineer (Fortigate) candidate, who will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining the company's network security using Fortigate firewall solutions. This position involves working closely with the IT team to ensure secure and efficient network operations, implement security policies, and provide technical support for network security issues. Core responsibilities:- Configure and manage Fortigate Firewall devices.
- Monitor network security and implement best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network security issues.
- Perform regular system updates and patches.
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT team to ensure network reliability.
- Provide training and support for network security tools.
- Work closely with the Network team for troubleshooting and identifying faults within a client network topology.
- Very good understanding of overall Network Security.
- Routing concepts.
- TCP/IP stack.
- VPN technologies.
- Threat detection and Intrusion Detection and Prevention.
- Firewall Policies.
- Network Troubleshooting.
- Security Best Practices.
- Technical Support.
- Software updates.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years experience in network security, specifically with Fortigate products.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and security concepts.
- Fortinet NSE certification preferred.
- Fortinet Certified Associate (FCA).
- Fortinet Certified Professional Network Security (FCP) - NSE4 equivalent.
- NSE 5 Forti Analyzer Administrator / FCP – Forti Analyzer Administrator would be advantageous.
- Any other industry-recognized certifications in security would be an advantage.
- 3 - 4 years' experience.
- Proficiency in IT security and infrastructure components.
- Familiarity with hardware and software solutions used in security management.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to address infrastructure issues and challenges.
- Ability to adapt to changing technology landscapes and evolving infrastructure needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and departments.
