Job Purpose: To deliver data analysis and critical insights into pharmacy-related products and pricing, that supports the business to make informed decisions and improve opportunities to increase profits. Job Objectives:
- To perform analysis and provide in-depth insights on pharmaceutical data (pricing, dispensing fees, products etc.) that will assist management in making effective decisions that maximises business performance and profit.
- To conduct in-depth analysis on medical aid performance in order to provide the Executive team with relevant information in order to negotiate new dispensing fees.
- To develop reports that can be used to assist management in tracking the overall financial impact of decisions.
- To provide analysis of data as required so as to build business cases for system or operational procedure changes or enhancements, with costs and/or possible return on investment.
- To understand business requirements and needs and advise the best way to fulfill these through data-driven insights.
- To investigate and recommend potential solutions through computer software, coding, or mathematical models to test variables and scenarios.
- To clearly articulate business insights to stakeholders and translate findings into actionable solutions that complies with Group and regulatory standards.
- To maintain a comprehensive understanding of business processes and practices pertaining to all aspects of pharmacy retail operations within the Group.
- 5 years of data analytics and insights reporting.
- 1-2 years Healthcare experience.
- 3-year degree/diploma (BCom or equivalent with economics, statistics, research, or a related field).
- Business objectives.
- Retail policies and procedures.
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical retail, pricing and regulatory environment.
- Understanding of the medical aid environment.
- B.I Knowledge.
- Data handling/quality tools or other industry standards tools.
- Advanced MS Office and Excel in particular.
- Database methodologies and technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and present complex analytical results.
- Ability to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
