Job Description Key Responsibilities: Financial

  • Carry out routine inventories of linen and operating supplies as instructed by team leaders.
  • Ensure no wastage / spoilage of supplies and amenities.
  • Use of all equipment in a correct manner to prevent any damage.
Operational
  • Ensure that all linen is tagged as per the guidelines and standards.
  • Check for any valuables or other items before processing the linen or garments and report as per procedure.
  • Adhere to the linen classification procedure.
  • Check the equipment periodically to ensure operative effectiveness and report any non-compliance.
  • Ensure that the equipment is never left on switch on mode when unattended.
  • Maintain equipment as per guidelines to prevent soiling of linen.
  • Ensure quality in all aspects of work.
  • Report any malfunctioning of the equipment to the Laundry Supervisor.
  • Iron the linen, employee uniforms, and guest linen as per the standard procedures.
  • Ensure that all items are delivered without any stains and report any damages to the Supervisor as per process.
  • Sort laundry items by kind, colour, and soiling level; separate dry cleaning from laundry items.
  • Load the appropriate number of items and quantity or weight into washing machines, add detergents or chemicals as required, and operate the machine carefully.
  • Remove stains from items using the proper stain removers according to the standard procedures.
  • Examine laundered items to ensure cleanliness.
  • Handle additional responsibilities as delegated by Management.
Personnel
  • Follow all policies of the organization.
  • Attend all trainings as per training calendar.
  • Follow organizational grooming standards.
  • Ensure redressal of any associate complaints/issues.
Hygiene / Personal Safety / Environment:
  • Ensure that the workplace and storage areas remain clean and tidy.
  • Respect the instructions and safety guidelines for the equipment used.
  • Apply the hotel's security regulations (in case of fire, etc.).
  • Respect the hotel's commitments to the "Environment Charter" (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste, etc.) and meet Novotel ISO 14001 environmental commitments as applicable to the role.
