We are looking for a Service Centre Manager to join our Services_EMEA team in Bahrain. As Service Centre Manager, you will have full responsibility for the EMS Service Centre, overseeing all functions. While this is a strategic leadership role, it demands a hands-on understanding of every aspect of the operation. You will be expected to know the ins and outs of the service centre inside and out, and lead with a thorough grasp of both high-level business strategies and day-to-day operations. Our ideal candidate will be just as confident in the boardroom making strategic decisions as on the shop floor, actively engaging with teams to drive performance and solve challenges. Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing customer relationships and development of business opportunities.
- Ensuring all activities carried out are done in a safe and professional manner.
- Ensuring the team meets all Safety related KPIs for observations and tours.
- Responsible for implementing HSEQ systems (including Sulzer safety initiatives) and supporting HSSEQ Manager.
- Creating, supporting, coaching, and developing a high performing workshop team.
- Technical decision making in the workshop and liaising with engineers for support when required.
- Planning / Efficient resource management to cover all workshop and site activities ensuring customer commitments are always met or exceeded.
- Collaborating with other service centers as necessary to ensure the best outcomes for the wider business.
- Working with Sales and Tendering to maximize order intake opportunities.
- Delivery of Monthly Sales / margin targets and productive hours.
- Ensuring all inspections are sufficiently detailed and in line with the relevant company / industry standards.
- Ensure business reporting is updated in a timely manner with accurate information.
- Driving daily cell meetings to ensure maximum efficiency of each area.
- Driving improvement projects to reduce costs and improve safety and quality.
- Manage relevant suppliers and subcontractors.
- Excellent technical knowledge of all EMS machine repairs scopes.
- High level of EX competency.
- At least 10 years’ experience of HV & LV rotating electrical equipment (motors & generators).
- Experience of supervising and managing teams of engineers.
- General repair of electrical equipment.
- Fault finding including RCA.
