The Strategic & Internal Communications Section Head is responsible for developing internal communications plans and strategies, managing all internal communication channels, maintaining staff feedback channels and driving employee engagement tactical plans to foster a culture of openness, and promote the organization values. Furthermore, the Strategic & Internal Communications Section Head is responsible for strategic-level communications planning and engagement, strategic media engagement, reputation management, providing public relations advice to the Leadership team, overseeing the quality of internal and external communications outputs across the Directorate, developing communication processes and procedures in line with the communication policy, coordinating with the Director to deliver high quality and timely communications, stakeholders relationship management, support with strategy and budget development, ensuring consistent key messages are delivered across the organization, and promoting cultural change to guide and support communications across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Communications

Lead on and guide the strategic development of communications programs and elevating the organization reputation and values.
Review and quality assurance of all of the organization contents for main platforms like website and intranets and reviews all speaking opportunities for the leadership team including drafting or editing speeches, talking points and strategic level media interviews.
Periodically assess the effectiveness of the communication channels and assure that measures are in place to create awareness and momentum while testing the effectiveness of media engagement and communication activities across the organization.
Develop, monitor and share key insights to provide counsel to Leadership in relation to best practice, latest trends, and research. Engage expert resources when needed.
Oversee the quality assurance of all communications with the support of the Content Editor.
Create, establish and manage a communications process to ensure content is timely, accurate, clear and digestible.
Lead on developing a budget which aligns with the strategic communications plan and oversee its implementation and adherence.
Oversee the consistency of key messaging across the organization channels, communication local and international events, leadership speaking opportunities, and external missions.

Internal Communications

Lead, mentor and oversee the development and implementation of the internal communications strategy and plans in alignment with the organization strategic objectives.
Ensure all initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders.
Oversee planning, editing and writing of content for a variety of internal communications platforms, such as intranet, staff newsletter, website, etc.
Oversee and maintain staff feedback channels.
Lead on employee engagement tactical plans and fostering a culture of openness, and the promotion of the organization values.
Oversee the implementation of an annual communications survey to assess effectiveness of internal channels and levels of employee engagement.

Experience and Qualifications: Master's degree in strategic communications, corporate communications, Strategy and Project Management, or any related field. Years of experience and required qualifications: Minimum of 6 -8 years of experience in a relevant field. #J-18808-Ljbffr
