PSAB BOSS: HVAC Technician (Secret Clearance) Apply locations: Saudi Arabia, Houston, Texas Time type: Full time Posted on: Posted Yesterday Job Requisition ID: R2100198 Program Summary The KBR PSAB Program provides comprehensive BASE OPERATING SUPPORT-INSTALLATION (BOS-I) services at Prince Sultan Air Base (PSAB) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). These services support the 378 Air Expeditionary Wing (AEW), mission partners, and tenant units, encompassing a diverse range of personnel including transient, temporary duty (TDY), permanent party, and rotational personnel. Job Summary The Prince Sultan Air Base (PSAB) Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Technician shall perform, manage, and oversee the maintenance, repair, and sustainment of all commercial and military-unique HVAC systems and associated equipment. The HVAC/R lead shall ensure installation, operation, maintenance, and repairs of HVAC/R systems, combustion equipment, and industrial air compressors as well as maintain and repair nonelectric kitchen equipment. Roles and Responsibilities
- Function as an integral team member, cooperating with and supporting U.S. deployed forces and sharing information as required.
- Ensure all contractual performance objectives are met.
- Manage and work with a diverse, international, and multi-skilled workforce.
- Be available within two (2) hours of notification to meet on the installation with Government personnel.
- Ensure the successful delivery of services to 4,000 personnel at all times.
- Ensure personnel are adequately trained and possess the requisite knowledge and skills.
- Responsible for proper utilization, accounting, and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property.
- Ensure required contractual submittals are provided to the government.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- May be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions requiring personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Use of Land Mobile Radios, cell phones, laptops, and other devices.
- Work will be indoors and outdoors with exposure to various environmental conditions.
- Overtime and shift work may be required.
- Must comply with all regulations and work rules.
- Must be prepared to function in a wartime or contingency environment.
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 35lbs and team lifting up to 50lbs.
- Work may require using and wearing personal protective equipment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum 3-5 years’ relevant HVAC/R experience.
- Commercial/Industry HVAC/R certification(s) or completion of HVAC/R Vocational school.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current U.S. Driver's License.
- Must possess a passport book with at least 15 months of remaining validity.
- Must have and maintain a valid U.S. SECRET Security Clearance.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, controls, and components.
- Ability to interpret drawings and schematics.
- Pro-active, well organized, results-oriented, and a team player.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with documented supervisory experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree desired but not required.
- USAF HVAC/R (3EX1) AFCS or similar Military/DOD MOS HVAC/R experience highly desired.
