- Coordinate the movement of equipment, materials, and personnel for both offshore and land-based projects across multiple locations.
- Manage logistics operations in compliance with global regulations, including offshore safety standards, customs regulations, and transport laws.
- Ensure timely delivery and transportation of materials and supplies to and from offshore sites, vessels, and land-based facilities.
- Organize and oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of materials and supplies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with transportation providers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure smooth operations.
- Liaise with project teams and clients to ensure logistics requirements are met and deadlines are adhered to.
- Monitor and track shipments, providing regular updates on delivery status and resolving any issues that arise.
- Prepare and review necessary shipping documents, ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations and customs requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics operations, including shipment details, invoices, and permits.
- Work with the health, safety, and environment (HSE) teams to ensure logistics operations comply with safety standards, particularly in offshore environments.
- Advise and train other team members and departments in logistics procedures and best practices.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics coordination or management within the offshore or industrial sector, especially with large-scale projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or related fields is a plus.
- Project Logistics management experience for an MNC engineering service company.
- Knowledge of customs regulations for GCC and African countries, particularly Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
- Should be conversant with Microsoft Navision, UAE Chamber of Commerce documentation process, and MOFA process. Proficiency in import and export processes, including handling relevant documentation (such as UAE Chamber of Commerce documents, MOFA process, etc.).
- Familiarity with logistics management systems (Navision or similar) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- In-depth knowledge of offshore logistics best practices, maritime operations, and vessel logistics.
- Strong understanding of international shipping, customs clearance, and import/export regulations.
- Familiarity with offshore supply chains, including maritime operations and vessel logistics.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various teams, clients, and suppliers.
- Ability to work under pressure and resolve problems quickly and effectively.
- Willingness to work outside regular office hours or in a remote setup as required by project needs.
- Valid UAE driving license and own a personal vehicle.
