Commercial Research Officer

Job Title: Commercial Research Officer Location: Remote / Chandlers Ford Salary: £25,272 per annum Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm Established in 2003, Utilita is the UK's first – and still only - energy company created to help customers use less energy, by giving them better control via digital technology. Do you have previous experience in writing grant proposals? What does this role involve? As a Commercial Research Officer, you will play a crucial role in researching and securing potential funding for commercial customers. Day to day you will;

• Research funding opportunities for housing associations, local councils and commercial premises;
• Drafting, reviewing and assisting customers with submitting funding applications and meeting grant/bid deadlines;
• Managing the submissions process, progress and following up with customers, whilst being their key point of contact throughout their journey;
• Work closely with our internal stakeholders, including our Business Development Managers (BDM’s), to co-ordinate schedules and ensure they are kept up to date with all applications and potential funding opportunities;
• Produce reports and distributing to the relevant stakeholders in a timely manner;
• Assisting our BDM’s in presentations to potential commercial customers, to answer any questions or queries on their application process;

Who are we looking for? You will have previous experience in bid writing and bid management, preferably within the Solar sector. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a user friendly manner. A Full UK driving licence is advantageous, as there will be opportunities for you to attend events and expos with our BDM’s, promoting the benefits of solar.
