Institutional Excellence invites applications for the position of Survey Management Senior Specialist reporting to the Manager, Institutional Research. This position is responsible for developing and reporting on surveys for students, faculty, staff, alumni, employers, and other stakeholders to make informed strategic decisions, drive institutional development, and ensure data-driven excellence within UDST.

Key Accountabilities

The successful candidate will:
  1. Conduct different types of institutional surveys for all UDST business units.
  2. Design, establish, maintain, and coordinate UDST’s institutional research activities, including the collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of institutional survey data.
  3. Provide research support for UDST assessment activities and offer professional training and consultation to the UDST community on survey development and statistical analysis.
  4. Support activities to identify UDST’s comparative advantages to maximize impact and promote innovation and leadership.
  5. Oversee and administer various benchmarking survey instruments and develop institutional surveys in response to campus stakeholder needs.
  6. Work on all phases of survey projects: designing, collecting, cleaning, and analyzing survey data; prepare reports, dashboards, and other data tools for various audiences.
  7. Extract, merge, and manipulate very large datasets from multiple sources.
  8. Use SQL to create queries of student data from appropriate enterprise student information systems.
  9. Work fluently and independently with UDST analytical and reporting tools to perform data quality control, join data sets, and develop reports.
  10. Create Tableau workbooks (or equivalent; Power BI), dashboards, and summary tables suitable for PowerPoint, Adobe PDF, and communications to support survey and assessment results.
  11. Produce clear written analytical survey reports and guides.
  12. Use creative problem-solving, advanced data science, and statistical analysis to develop solutions that match unique project needs.
  13. Provide strategic and tactical, data-based solutions and recommendations to senior leadership.
  14. Automate data analyses, visualizations, and reporting to be repeatable across a large number of programs using SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Python, or another scripting language.
  15. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in social science, education, research, quality, or another related field is required.
  • Master’s degree or professional certification is required.
  • Ph.D. is preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic is preferred.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
