Quality Control Technician job description The Company Irish Owned Company based in West Cork, design & manufacture unmanned ground vehicles used by security services worldwide assisting in demining and neutralizing of EOD / IED devices. “Remote where possible” Job Description Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Quality Control Technician will ensure all materials received and products built meet our defined quality standards. The Quality Control Technician will ensure that all products shipped to the customer follow all transport and export regulatory requirements. They continually review manufacturing processes and the Quality Management System to promote continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. Overall Responsibilities
- Assist in the incoming and First Article inspection process.
- Troubleshoot product and process related issues within the manufacturing department and identify root causes.
- Control procedures, drawings, and Bills of Material.
- Manage and maintain the QA System to ISO 9000 standards.
- MRB: Oversee the disposition for any non-conforming product and identify appropriate corrective action.
- Maintain the instrument calibration system, documents, and procedures.
- Support the Internal & External quality audits to ISO 9000 Quality System requirements.
- Validate final shipped products and packaging to customer requirements.
- Generate the necessary shipping documentation and liaise with the relevant shipping agents to finalize both customer and demo shipments.
- Maintain shipping records to support audit requirements from external agencies.
- Interested candidates should have a relevant qualification and a minimum of 1 year production/manufacturing experience.
- Access to own transport will be necessary due to the location of the business.
- Full driver's license essential.
- This is a permanent position.
- Hours of work: 8.00am-4.30pm Mon to Thurs, Fri 3.30pm.
