Location: Dublin (Fully Office-Based) Our client is currently seeking a Newly Qualified Accountant to join their project management organisation. Our client is an Irish SME with a legacy of 70 years providing professional project management and high-quality craftsmanship to industries such as pharmaceutical, semiconductor, industrial, food, commercial, and retail. They specialize in building and managing complex engineering and construction projects for some of the world’s leading corporations. The company is committed to investing in its people, providing extensive training and education, and ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and governance across all operations. Responsibilities:
- Maintain control accounts, schedules, and reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing and completing the monthly performance reporting pack for the management team.
- Prepare weekly and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and maintain weekly cash flow forecast files.
- Record transactions accurately and promptly to update and maintain the general ledger.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and support the year-end audit process.
- Complete monthly management accounts up to Trial Balance.
- Prepare initial tax returns for VAT, RCT, and CT for both the UK and Ireland.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal systems and controls.
- Utilize accounting software and financial tools proficiently to streamline processes and maintain accurate records.
- Newly qualified ACA, ACCA, CPA, or similar qualification.
- 2–3 years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience in the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong IT skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with the COINS ERP system is an advantage.
