Position Summary
- The Lead Security Supervisor reports directly to the HSSSEQ Manager. They must be both fit and healthy and able to fulfill their daily duties.
- Safety must be the absolute priority for all personnel on site at any time including visitors and contractors.
- The Lead Security Supervisor works for 5 days per week, with potential weekend work and additional hours as per job requirements.
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of security personnel, including scheduling shifts, conducting performance evaluations, and providing guidance and support as needed.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, vigilance, and accountability among security staff.
- Be fully familiar with national security aspects.
- Maintain the day-to-day management of the incident management room and the incident management team by:
- Ensuring the room is adequately stocked and all functions are tested frequently.
- Ensuring the Incident Management team rota is fulfilled and populated on a weekly basis.
- Assisting with the planning and testing of emergency response drills and scenarios.
- Playing an active role in the Incident Management Team.
- Manage the team of security personnel onshore and offshore and ensure that security personnel undertake their duties as per contract.
- Maintain and process the administrative responsibilities of the role including timesheets, maintaining logbooks, records, and incident reports.
- Ensure that the Security Team is kept at full establishment, participating in interviews for new team members as required.
- Conduct Security Risk Assessments for all Terminal premises including offshore security audits on a regular basis.
- Ensure appropriate security resources are made available in all areas based on risk assessment.
- Participate in terminal management meetings and provide updates about Security Team performance.
- Conduct staff development reviews and identify training needs.
- Develop a training matrix for the security team.
- Develop appropriate training material for the team to perform their duties.
- Manage the team’s performance and scheduling to ensure minimum cover is always provided.
- Manage, review, and develop the security operations to ensure that it fulfills project requirements (e.g., install electronic control system as soon as possible, CCTV).
- Be responsible for the associated documentation necessary to fulfill the purpose of this security plan.
- Ensure that the security resources are adequate to cover all project needs and Terminal security operations reflect the requirements of the project.
- Liaise with subcontractors and terminal management.
- Ensure that appropriate personnel are made aware of all security issues.
- Make a report without delay to the HSSEQ Manager when any security irregularities, breaches, or incidents have taken place.

- Guide the visitors to the Terminal HSSEQ Department to introduce them to the visitor induction training or required HSSEQ trainings.
- Respond to alarm signals (fire alarms or other danger signals) and participate in the emergency response procedures and emergency response team training and activities.
- Enforce the Terminal rules and regulations regarding security.
- Make routine or special reports, as prescribed, concerning designated matters and unusual circumstances.
- Good Arabic and English reading, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
- Ability to work independently, motivate others, and be ambitious.
- Training, knowledge, and experience of industrial site security, particularly security of marine terminals and compliance with ISPS Code.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies.
- Health & Safety training and experience.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to security incidents in a calm and decisive manner.
