We are currently seeking a regional Senior Sales Engineer for Middle East & Africa business. Job Summary: Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

  1. Senior Sales Engineer, working out of Egypt, closely working with the Regional VP, the Sales Account Executives and Pre Sales engineers.
  2. Design and develop innovative DDN solutions in the domain of HPC, Life Sciences, Oil & Gas, Financial Services, Intelligence, Surveillance, CCTV, Big Data Analytics & Hyper-Scalable Clouds.
  3. Develop a substantial sales/technical knowledge of the company's Storage installed product line.
  4. Qualify leads and engage with End-Users/SI's/consultants/OEM's/Partners/ISV's either alone or with an Account Executive of the ME&A Team.
  5. Architect best-in-class and efficient storage solutions using DDN's portfolio for the qualified leads & requirements, leveraging third-party software/hardware when necessary.
  6. Document and enhance best technical practices for presales.
  7. Optimize knowledge and quoted configurations by leveraging EMEA, APAC and US Centers of Expertise, along with USA Product Management and Engineering Teams when necessary.
  8. Benchmark (or co-benchmark with a Post-Sales Engineer) the HPC product line; DDN's Solution Trainings would be provided.
  9. Present weekly status reports of activities to manager.
  10. Manage customer relationship pre-sale issues.
  11. Travel 50% of the time in the Middle East (in particular KSA as the prime focus) to meet End-User/SI's/consultants/OEM's/Partners/ISV's in the above Vertical domains, as per the strategy discussed with the Regional VP.
Qualifications for this role are:
  1. Expertise in HPC Applications, Exa-Scale Architectures, Interconnects and Storage.
  2. Expertise in Big Data Analytics & Hyper-Scalable Clouds is a plus.
  3. Expert in creating powerful presentations, excel raw data filtering, Visio/Omnigraffle network diagrams, Excel Quotation, cost & sell, P&L.
  4. Excellent presentation and summary skills, verbally and written.
  5. Excellent leadership, priority settings and follow through skills.
  6. Excellent and real-time adaptation to the audience.
  7. Outstanding capabilities to convince, think out of the box and propose workarounds.
  8. Experience in architecting Storage Area Networks (SAN, Fibre Channel) & RAID Storage; DDN Storage is a plus.
  9. Team player who can work well in a multi-cultural environment in the Middle East & Africa.
  10. Ability to travel in Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain & Oman to participate in DDN's Group Meetings, Team Training, and assist in other benchmarks.
  11. Willingness to be relocated in a different country in Middle East & Africa like Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt, Jordan.
  12. Ability to travel in Europe and USA to attend DDN's Group Meetings, HPC Shows and Training.
