Job Title: Senior Manager, Policy & LegalLocation: Dubai, UAELevel: Senior ManagerJob Description:My client is a financial regulator of financial services based in the DIFC. They are seeking to recruit a senior manager within the legal & policy team where the primary purpose of this role is to contribute to the development and maintenance of the DFSA's policy framework across a variety of financial regulatory topics in areas such as capital markets, securities and funds.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain the policy framework.The development of the policy approach in particular in areas such as capital markets, securities and funds.Developing regulatory and organisational policies considering its profile, strategic positioning and risk tolerance in line with the business plan or on request.Leading policy projects to deliver necessary and appropriate changes in the policy framework to agreed timescales and standards of quality.Conducting comparative analysis of international standards and the regimes in other jurisdictions against the regulatory regime to identify areas where change may be needed.Contribute to the development and implementation of strategy in defined areas.Qualifications:Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., economics, finance, law, public policy).8+ years of experience with a broadly equivalent financial services regulator or other highly relevant experience in the financial sector or law practice.An in-depth understanding of financial sector, financial regulation, its drivers, and the role of policy frameworks.Technical knowledge of at least one of the following areas: capital markets, securities, funds, conduct or banking.Expertise in researching and analysing complex issues, identifying viable options, their critical evaluation and selecting the best option from a strategic and risk point of view.Please get in touch if the above sounds of interest.
