MD/Head of Oil Trading - Distillates, Energy, Commodities, Cross-Barrel, Oil & Refined Products, Physical, Derivative, MENA. Location; UAE Dubai:Job Title: Head of Oil TradingRole Purpose / Overview:We are seeking a Head of Oil Trading - Distillates to join a fast-growing energy trading house based in Dubai. This strategic role requires a deep understanding of the oil market, strong leadership skills, proven relationships and a proven track record in trading.This role would be ideal for someone leading the team and partnering with top management in executing commercial strategy for the organization. The Head of Trade carries the responsibility for the overall market development and client relationships covering the extended region for trade development.To optimize the performance of trading functions, thereby maximizing profitability and customer service. To lead and oversee the development and growth of profitable new business. To develop and maintain effective key client relationships. Ensure business growth through directing and managing business development activities. To develop and manage the trading strategy to maximize income. To ensure these are delivered in accordance with the company's strategy.The candidate should have significant knowledge of this market and should have some key leadership experience in order to meet strategic business objectives.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement trading strategies for the oil & refined products market (with an emphasis on middle distillates), ensuring alignment with overall business goals.Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and regulatory changes, providing insights to inform trading decisions.Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of traders and analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Risk Management: Identify and manage risks associated with trading activities, implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies.Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize trading performance, utilizing data analytics and market intelligence to drive profitability.Qualifications:15+ years of experience in the oil trading sector5+ years experience in senior executive level managementBachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA is a plus.Minimum 8+ years of experience in oil trading, with a focus on distillates.Strong understanding of the global oil market, trading strategies, and risk management principles.Proven leadership skills with experience managing a diverse team.Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in trading software and tools.Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.What We Offer:Competitive salary and performance-based bonusesOpportunities for professional growth and developmentA dynamic and supportive work environment in a leading trading hubRelocation assistance for suitable International candidates.How to Apply:If you are a strategic thinker with a passion for the oil trading industry and are looking to make a significant impact, we invite you to apply.
