General Manager / CEO - Creating a new Bank in DubaiPlease note: this role requires someone who has previous experience building a bank from ground up and taking it from 0-1 whilst having strong knowledge of the UAE Banking market.A rapidly growing, international and Whale backed Payments and Crypto Fintech is looking to appoint a General Manager/CEO to create and spearhead a new retail bank based in Dubai. Reporting to the Global CEO and Chairman, you will be instrumental in creating the foundation and building blocks as part of the international growth strategy, providing you with financial backing, autonomy on organisational design and structure as well as working with a world class leadership team.As they embark on the exciting journey of building a bank from the ground up, my client is seeking a seasoned professional with a proven track record in start-ups, deep expertise in banking operations, diverse banking products, and services, and a comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks in Dubai's banking sector.Key Responsibilities for the General Manager / CEO - Creating a new Bank in Dubai role:Lead the strategic direction and operations of the retail bank, driving growth and profitability while ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives.Develop and launch a comprehensive range of banking products and services tailored to meet the unique needs of customers (individuals and institutions), fostering a seamless and customer-centric banking experience.Oversee and manage all aspects of banking operations, including risk management, compliance, customer service, and financial performance, optimizing processes to deliver operational excellence and regulatory adherence.Collaborate with internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies in Dubai to ensure compliance with local banking laws and regulations, leveraging your expertise in navigating the regulatory landscape to mitigate risks and drive sustainable growth.Build and lead a high-performing team of banking professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence to establish the retail bank as a market leader in the fintech industry.Qualifications and Experience for the General Manager / CEO - Creating a new Bank in Dubai role:Proven track record in successfully launching and scaling start-up ventures, particularly in the financial services or fintech sector, with a focus on retail banking.Extensive experience in banking operations, encompassing product development, risk management, compliance, and customer service, ideally within a digital banking environment.In-depth knowledge of diverse banking products and services, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards specific to the banking industry in Dubai.Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to drive strategic initiatives, foster innovation, and drive operational efficiency in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills, essential for collaborating effectively with internal teams, regulators, and external partners to achieve business objectives and regulatory compliance.If you are a dynamic and forward-thinking leader with a passion for innovation and a proven ability to navigate the complexities of creating a new bank, we invite you to apply for the role and be part of a pioneering team in shaping the future of banking for a global audience.
