Based in the West Midlands, we serve trade customers and the public, taking pride in our British manufacturing and in-house distribution. Our success is built on quality products and exceptional customer service. The Role We're seeking an E-commerce Content Manager to elevate our online presence and drive digital growth. This hybrid role combines remote working with office-based collaboration, offering 4 days working from home and 1 day in our Birmingham or Lichfield office. You'll be responsible for:

  • Enhancing product and category pages across our website
  • Creating engaging product descriptions and optimising imagery
  • Managing email marketing campaigns
  • Building our online reputation through review generation
  • Working with our freelance developer to implement new features and optimise website performance
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to enhance user experience and conversion rates
Key Requirements As a small, family-run business, one of our biggest weaknesses has been our transition into the digital age. The ideal candidate will therefore be someone with the skills and experience to hit the ground running from day one; in-depth training in the role is not something we can provide, though we will gladly bring you up to speed on all the relevant things you need to know about our business, products, and service .
  • Proven experience with an e-commerce content management system (CMS)
  • Strong written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Track record of improving e-commerce website performance
  • Proficiency in Photoshop for image editing
  • Must be local to Birmingham/Lichfield area with ability to commute
  • Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience in the garden/landscaping sector
  • Knowledge of WordPress and WooCommerce
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp)
  • Understanding of SEO best practices
  • Experience in managing online reputation
Experience Needed
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar e-commerce role
  • Demonstrated success in improving website performance and conversion rates
Pay and Terms
  • Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per year
  • Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
  • Location: Hybrid (4 days remote, 1 day office-based)
  • Holiday: 20 days plus bank holidays
  • Pension: Company pension scheme
