  • The role is a hybrid function between trade execution, middle office and client reporting support for the firm’s Wealth Management division.
  • Assist the Wealth Management team in the execution of trades on client portfolios (which are custodied at the leading private banks including BNY Pershing, Lombard Odier, Pictet etc)
  • Dealing with sophisticated clients in resolution of operational issues, portfolio queries and execution of financial transactions including FX, forwards, equity funds, fixed income, hedge funds and private equity
  • Input into the firm’s portfolio management system (Addepar) to ensure accuracy
  • Assisting in portfolio valuations and client reports ensuring that they are produced in an accurate and timely manner
  • Interacting with the firm’s custodians and clients (UHNW individuals, family offices and semi-institutional clients) by providing an excellent client experience on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ensuring that incoming client requests are dealt with promptly and through close coordination with relationship managers and investment professionals.
  • Be a key liaison with custodian banks for account-opening processes for clients, taking account of the custodian specific and local regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting relationship managers with KYC information gathering where required and updating documents when needed in liaison with custodian banks.
  • Ensuring close follow-up of documentation requirements (KYC and investment suitability appropriateness information) by contacting clients in coordination with the relationship managers.
  • Supporting relationship managers and investment professionals with the preparation of client portfolio reviews and investment proposals / marketing presentations.
Qualifications
  • University degree preferably in a STEM / numerate subject with prior experience in similar role within wealth and/or asset management.
  • 3+ years’ experience working as an associate or similar in a family office, private wealth management, private bank or similar financial institution
  • Experience in trade execution for a wide range of asset classes including third party funds, fixed income, FX hedging, forwards etc for complex client portfolios over multiple custodial platforms is highly advantageous
  • Good investment knowledge with a good understanding of all types of financial instruments including funds (onshore and offshore), fixed income, private equity, hedge funds and F/X forwards
  • An understanding of the trade cycle, cash management and settlement process
  • Highly numerate with advanced Excel and technical skills
  • Experience of portfolio management systems and expertise in Addepar is advantageous
  • Practical, collaborative and possess a 'can-do' approach with an ability to support a culture of excellence across the firm
  • Problem solving mentality, detailed orientated with a propensity to action to see the job through to completion
  • Knowledge of corporate accounts, corporate trusts, personal trusts, pension and SIPP’s accounts
  • Knowledge of FCA compliance procedures and other regulatory requirements
  • Relevant professional qualifications (CFA, IMC, IMD etc) are considered highly favourably
