About Melia Desert Palm

Position: Spa Therapist

The Spa Therapist is responsible for the following tasks and others assigned by their departments as necessary:

To create the first positive impression to the guests by greeting them in a warm welcoming manner - by name addressed.
Deliver a variety of spa services (body treatments, massages, facials, waxing and manicure/pedicure) in a safe and comfortable manner.
Maintain equipment and sample inventory of products.
Keep documentation and maintain client’s files.
Keep a clean and stocked room.
Acknowledge and respond to relevant customer queries, needs and expectations.
Suggest and promote retail products or additional services.
Uphold hygiene standards and follow health and safety regulations.
Cooperate with and report on administration on any arising issues.
Apply best practices and be up to date with market trends.
Participate in a new training and refreshing program as required.
Update the Therapist Logbook.
Complete all assignments stated by deadlines with the recreation manager or supervisor’s guidelines.
Provide guidance to clients on the procedures at the spa.
Answer telephone calls and provide accurate information to clients.
Keep the reception area clean and conducive for clients as they wait for their turn.
Keep clients updated on currently available promotions and discounts in services offered in the Spa.
Process payments from clients for services ordered from the spa.
Give appointments to clients on specific days.
Open and close the spa at the appropriate time.
Ensure that the front desk is clean and organized for free movement.
Manage the visitor register to keep record of people who visit the spa on a daily basis.
Receive customer complaints and feedback and direct them to the Recreation Manager or Assistant Spa Manager for resolution.
Respond to the change as indicated by the company.
