Senior H&S Advisor

Hobson Prior is working alongside a company who is at the forefront of biotechnology. This company is seeking a Senior H&S Advisor to join a dynamic team in Oxford. This role will focus on ensuring safe working practices and compliance with health and safety standards within a biotechnology environment. Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with department managers to promote safe working practices.
• Ensure all service areas have appropriate risk assessments.
• Document effective risk control measures following health and safety guidelines.
• Develop and implement safety policies for the business.
• Conduct routine internal safety audits to ensure compliance.
• Perform assessments and investigate incidents, including near-miss events.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• A background in Biological Sciences is beneficial but not required.
• Health and Safety qualifications such as IOSH, NEBOSH, or NVQ are essential.
• Strong understanding of health and safety guidelines and legislation.
• Experience in laboratory settings is a plus but not mandatory.
