The Opportunity Bayview Gardens Retirement Living is an active community set on tranquil rainforest-like grounds and gardens, perfectly positioned in the heart of Sydney's exclusive Northern Beaches. You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair tasks around our retirement village. Working closely with the Community Manager, you will ensure our buildings & fixtures are well-maintained and presentable. The ideal candidate needs to be friendly, approachable to residents, have the ability to work autonomously and have general maintenance or 'handyperson' experience. You will be working in a tight-knit community where you will thrive in making our community a better place for residents This is a Full-time position working Monday to Friday from What we offer $34.43/hour + relevant Aged Care Award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances + superannuation Paid Parental Leave and Purchased Annual Leave options Employee Referral Program and Employee Assistance Program Discounts to Health Insurance and Retail & Leisure partner providers Opportunities for further career progression Be part of a friendly and supportive team in a caring retirement living community Opportunity to take part in Aveo Learning & Development courses to develop your professional skills You will You will attend to various maintenance requests to create a safe and pleasant environment for residents, visitors, staff and others Liaise with stakeholders to ensure projects undertaken are safe, timely and completed to a high standard Oversee maintenance work undertaken by Contractors within the community Carry out preventative maintenance tasks around the community as per schedules Be a friendly face to the residents and work alongside a fantastic team Please note - this is not a gardening role. What you will bring Experience in General Maintenance and 'Handyperson' roles (highly desired) A warm & caring personality with an interest to make a difference every day Valid driver's licence (required) Current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not have one, we can complete for you) Current COVID-19 Vaccinations up-to-date (required) Who we are As a leader in retirement living, with 30 years' experience, Aveo provides the stability and confidence to try new things and keep innovating.
