The Role We are seeking a visionary Co-Founder & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to shape Chat Health’s financial and commercial strategy as we scale our innovative healthcare platform. In this Melbourne-based leadership role, you will oversee financial operations, lead capital-raising efforts, and manage commercial contracts with B2 B clients. You will work closely with the executive team to drive growth and ensure the company’s long-term stability and impact on healthcare delivery in Australia. Key Responsibilities Strategic Financial Leadership Develop and execute Chat Health’s overall financial strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and growth objectives. Provide expert financial counsel to the Board, CEO, and executive team on capital management and resource allocation. Lead capital-raising initiatives, including venture financing, grants, and strategic partnerships. Cultivate relationships with investors, prepare pitch decks and financial models, and oversee due diligence processes. Commercial & Contract Management Negotiate and manage commercial contracts with B2 B clients, including healthcare providers, insurers, and corporate partners. Develop pricing models and strategies that balance profitability, scalability, and market competitiveness. Implement robust budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling processes to guide strategic decision-making. Monitor financial KPIs to ensure the organisation remains on track to meet revenue and profitability targets. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and healthcare standards (where applicable), mitigating financial and reputational risks. Design and maintain internal controls and governance frameworks to safeguard company assets. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with the CTO, CEO, and clinical leaders to align financial goals with technological and clinical objectives. Foster a culture of efficiency and innovation, championing financial discipline across the organisation. Team Development Build and mentor a high-performing finance and commercial team capable of supporting Chat Health’s rapid growth. Promote an environment of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and collaborative problem-solving. Who You Are Proven Fundraising Expertise : Demonstrated success in sourcing and securing venture capital, grants, or strategic partnerships. B2 B Commercial Experience : Skilled in negotiating commercial contracts with large enterprise clients, ideally within the healthcare sector. Strategic Financial Acumen : Expertise in financial planning, analysis, and risk management, with a keen eye for balancing growth and profitability. Effective Communicator : Able to distil complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
