Summary We are seeking a Sr. Instrumentation & Control Engineer with 12 to 16 years of experience in the engineering of water treatment projects (WTP, WWTP, STP, ETP, Desalination). The role involves expertise in instrumentation and control systems, field instruments, and various industrial control systems like PLC, DCS, ESD, and F&G. Core responsibilities Design & Engineering :
- Prepare and review instrumentation-related documents: instrument list, I/O list, instrument layouts, data sheets, and control philosophies.
- Design PLC/DCS configurations, review vendor documents, and ensure systems meet project requirements.
- Prepare hookup drawings, MTO (Material Take-Off), and cable tray/earthing layouts.
- Review and prepare technical specifications for field instruments (e.g., pressure gauges, transmitters, level transmitters, flow meters, control valves, PSVs, etc.).
- Prepare technical bid evaluations for instruments and control systems (PLC, DCS, ESD, F&G).
- Design and review ladder logic diagrams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (civil/structural, mechanical, electrical) to ensure alignment across disciplines.
- Provide site support for ongoing projects, including vendor inspections and visits.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of instruments and control systems.
- Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, IEC, ISO).
- Review P&ID diagrams to confirm correct instrumentation and control schemes.
- Prepare and review electrical and instrumentation datasheets, vendor documentation, and technical reports.
- Required : 10 to 16 years of experience in engineering and detail design of water treatment projects (WTP, WWTP, STP, ETP, Desalination).
- Preferred : Experience in instrumentation and control systems specifically in water treatment systems.
- Strong knowledge of Instrumentation & Control Systems (field instruments, control valves, PLCs, DCS, ESD, F&G systems).
- Ability to prepare and review instrumentation documents such as I/O lists, data sheets, control philosophies, and hookup drawings.
- Proficient in Electrical Design related to water treatment systems.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASME, API, IEC, ISO).
- Experience with site coordination, vendor management, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Strong problem-solving and technical skills in instrumentation and control systems.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with other engineering disciplines.
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
- Knowledge of safety and quality standards in engineering projects.
