Our client, a leading residential developer, is seeking an experienced Finishing Foreman or Finishing Manager to join their team on a new housing project in North County Dublin.Responsibilities:
- Oversee the completion of finishing works on the new build residential projects, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure efficient and timely delivery of finishing activities.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors and tradespeople, ensuring adherence to project specifications, codes, and safety regulations.
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of all activities related to the finishing works, including daily reports, materials used, and work completed.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and rectify any deficiencies in quality, workmanship, or safety, and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finishing team, promoting a culture of safety, professionalism, and accountability.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and subcontractors, to address any concerns or issues promptly.
- Manage material and equipment inventory.
- Collaborate with the project team to resolve any technical or design-related issues that may arise during the finishing phase.
- Assist in developing and implementing project-specific quality control plans and ensure adherence to all relevant quality standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman in the construction industry, with a focus on delivering high-quality finishing works on commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, finishes, building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work of the highest quality.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
