Job Description:

Our client, a leading residential developer, is seeking an experienced Finishing Foreman or Finishing Manager to join their team on a new housing project in North County Dublin.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the completion of finishing works on the new build residential projects, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
2. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure efficient and timely delivery of finishing activities.
3. Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors and tradespeople, ensuring adherence to project specifications, codes, and safety regulations.
4. Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of all activities related to the finishing works, including daily reports, materials used, and work completed.
5. Conduct regular inspections to identify and rectify any deficiencies in quality, workmanship, or safety, and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
6. Provide leadership and guidance to the finishing team, promoting a culture of safety, professionalism, and accountability.
7. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and subcontractors, to address any concerns or issues promptly.
8. Manage material and equipment inventory.
9. Collaborate with the project team to resolve any technical or design-related issues that may arise during the finishing phase.
10. Assist in developing and implementing project-specific quality control plans and ensure adherence to all relevant quality standards.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman in the construction industry, with a focus on delivering high-quality finishing works on commercial projects.
2. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, finishes, building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
3. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
4. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work of the highest quality.
5. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
6. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
