Job details

  • Responsible for improving and implementing CI/CD processes as part of DevOps, by setting up new development tools and infrastructure, looking for ways to automate and improve the development and release processes, and ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
  • You'll be expected to work alongside software developers and Application Operations to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
  • As a DevOps engineer, you'll be expected to work with various departments not just development as you'll need to deal with Atlassian tools (i.e. Bitbucket and JIRA) and you may need to install and configure various needed tools and components that support the automation processes.
  • Implement new CI/CD-related processes as per the received process definition.
  • Maintain currently implemented processes on Atlassian tools.
  • Improve currently implemented processes and introduce new technologies.
  • Work on build and deployment automation using Jenkins and Atlassian tools.
  • Respond to support tickets opened by different teams.
  • Participate in the documentation of different DevOps activities and deliverables.
Academic and professional qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (IT, MIS, CS, or related fields).
Years and Nature of Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
  • Experience in Jenkins, Nexus, CI/CD, Jira, Bitbucket, Shell Scripting, IBM Data Power, IBM WebSphere, IBM WCL, Linux.
