Daikin Middle East & Africa (DAME) is a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Limited, a Japanese outstanding company and worldwide the biggest developer, producer and supplier of HVAC-R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) solutions, including heating pumps and cooling technology. DAME is Daikin’s Middle East and Africa regional HQ. The regional has headquarter in Dubai and other offices in Abu Dhabi, Cairo (Egypt), Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Qatar as well as 2 production plants, and 2 sales subsidiaries and offices and a whole network of independent distributors and dealers across the MEA region.

Product Development:
  1. Conducting market research on technical comparisons of competition & evaluating the technical proposals from R&D.
  2. Reviewing the product proposals with Sales in comparison to competition and finalizing the specifications & features.
  3. Propose FOB Target prices against features & Specifications.
  4. Follow-up with R&D in weekly meetings and updating management on product development progress.
  5. Support R&D with competition samples for Tear-down analysis.
  6. Coordinate between factories & 3rd party Test labs for Product testing on CB reports / performance & functional test reports.
Product Support:
  1. Responsible to support Sales team on technical queries on Products and coordinate with R&D for ensuring timely feedback.
  2. Maintain database on Product related technical queries and manage Product portfolio for sales region.
  3. Review the product life cycle and update the sales & Service dept on transition of products with schedule.
  4. Ensure all compliance are met in accordance with regional requirement & government laws.
  5. Responsible for Product end-of-life process and ensuring stocks are liquidated within transition time period.
  6. Update & manage Selection Software with New Product range to support Sales & Application team.
Product Launch:
  1. Reviewing the final specifications from R&D and preparation of technical catalogues & features.
  2. Finalize the FOB Price with factories and material creation in SAP.
  3. Updating Management & Sales Team on Product launch schedule.
  4. Prepare & conduct Product Presentations to Sales & Distributors.
  5. Follow-up with R&D for Databook, IOM, Service Manuals & Spare Parts list for Sales & Service depts.
Other Responsibilities:
  1. Preparation of Presentations for DAME Top Management / MSM / PDM / DENV management.
  2. Bi-weekly update reports on Product Development plan progress.
  3. Weekly schedule plan to be updated to Management.
  4. Responsible to achieve VRV products Quantities turnover through Sales & Service business.
Job Requirements: Experience & Knowledge:
  1. Minimum 10 years working experience in HVAC industry especially in VRV/VRF technology.
  2. Previous Retail OR Projects Sales Experience in UAE or GCC region is preferable.
  3. Experience in Application on HVAC Equipment selections will be added value.
  4. At least 3-4 year experience in managing team is desirable.
  5. Knowledge in handling various stakeholders like factories, R&D, Sales & Service depts will be added value.
Education:
  1. Mechanical Engineering Degree.
  2. Master Degree is preferred.
Skills:
  1. Good verbal and written skills in English.
  2. Excellent communication skill.
  3. Analytical and problem solving skill.
  4. MS office skill.
Personality Attributes: Preferred:
  1. UAE/GCC driving license.
  2. Arabic speaking ability is a plus.
KPIs:
  1. Product launch with right features & specifications to meet respective markets requirement.
  2. Managing Technical support to Sales & Service and Distributors.
