The quality and safety aspect can be divided into the following three areas:
- Acceptance testing of imaging modalities to ensure patient safety and image quality.
- Periodic evaluation of imaging modalities to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Evaluation after major repairs/service of imaging equipment to ensure patient safety and image quality.
