Ajman University s Department of Psychology, within the College of Humanities and Sciences, is seeking a highly qualified Assistant or Associate Professor in Mental Health to join our dynamic faculty team. We are committed to providing our students with excellent education and fostering a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications:

  1. Doctoral degree in Mental Health or a related field from an accredited university in the United Arab Emirates.
  2. Expertise in Mental Health Psychology.
  3. At least (3) years previous university teaching experience.
  4. Commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
  5. The applicant should have published papers in journals within the global databases (Scopus).
  6. The applicant must be fluent in both Arabic and English.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver courses in designated areas of study.
  2. Uphold the fundamental standards of the University, including Teaching, Research, and Service.
  3. Evaluate and monitor individual student progress, providing feedback to promote student success.
  4. Research, organize, and manage instructional resources, course outlines, and community networks.
  5. Actively seek methods, procedures, and resources to effectively achieve course objectives.
  6. Support and participate in accreditation initiatives.
  7. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Skills Required:

  1. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  2. Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  3. Ability to work effectively with a multiple diverse community.
  4. Ability to create, compose and edit written materials.
  5. Program planning and implementation skills.
  6. Knowledge of computerized student information systems.
