Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the design, development, and execution of chemical engineering research and development projects focused on decarbonization of smelting processes.
  2. Evaluate, propose, and guide the implementation of cutting-edge technologies aimed at reducing or eliminating GHG emissions in smelting operations.
  3. Manage and oversee the demonstration of new technologies and processes, ensuring they meet the strategic objectives and sustainability goals of EGA.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate decarbonization technologies into existing operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
  5. Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate research findings, project status, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in decarbonization technologies, and environmental regulations to ensure EGA remains at the forefront of sustainable smelting practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering from a recognized institution/university.
Minimum Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Process Engineer.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a related primary aluminium function (e.g., fume treatment, environment, midstream operations, etc.).
  • Proven track record in managing continuous improvement projects.
