Summary: The Dean holds a senior leadership position within an educational institution in Dubai. They are responsible for providing strategic direction, academic oversight, and administrative management. The Dean ensures the quality and integrity of the institution's programs, promotes faculty and student success, and fosters a positive academic environment. Strong leadership skills, academic expertise, and a commitment to excellence are essential for this role. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the institution.
  2. Ensure the academic programs align with the institution's mission and objectives.
  3. Oversee curriculum development, instructional quality, and program assessment.
  4. Foster a positive and inclusive academic environment for students, faculty, and staff.
  5. Recruit, develop, and retain a diverse and qualified faculty.
  6. Support faculty in their professional development and provide mentoring and guidance.
  7. Establish and maintain academic policies and procedures.
  8. Monitor and assess the quality of teaching and learning within the institution.
  9. Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance student support services and promote student success.
  10. Coordinate program accreditation processes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  11. Manage the institution's budget and allocate resources effectively.
  12. Foster relationships with external stakeholders, industry partners, and the community.
  13. Engage in fundraising and development efforts to support institutional initiatives.
  14. Represent the institution in academic and professional forums.
  15. Collaborate with other academic leaders and participate in institutional committees.
  16. Stay updated with trends and advancements in education, teaching methodologies, and technology.
Desired Candidate Profile: Requirements: A doctoral degree in a relevant field. Significant experience in academic administration, preferably in a leadership role. Demonstrated leadership skills and a visionary mindset. Strong understanding of curriculum development, assessment, and instructional strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders. Knowledge of accreditation standards and regulatory requirements in education. Experience in strategic planning and implementing academic initiatives. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with educational technology and its integration into teaching and learning. Commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
