NOW HIRING A PROJECT DESIGN MANAGER - FITOUT Our client is a Top Fit Out Contractor based in UAE. It has a diverse portfolio across various sectors such as Residential, Hospitality, and Commercial projects, and is involved in some of the most exciting projects in UAE. The Position: This role involves working closely with clients, the Project Manager, and the Lead Designer. You need strong skills in building and managing relationships, both inside and outside the company. A positive attitude, high work standards, and professionalism are essential. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop design programs with the Lead Designer and Discipline Leads, ensuring project deliverables meet the Project Plan.
  2. Oversee discipline teams to ensure they follow the Project Execution Plans throughout the project.
  3. Manage design procedures, including information exchange, issue logs, and RFIs.
  4. Schedule and lead weekly design coordination meetings.
  5. Work with the Lead Designer to resolve coordination issues and discuss complex details, offering solutions based on expert and stakeholder input.
  6. Review scope, roles, and deliverables prepared by discipline leads to ensure alignment with client and contract requirements.
  7. Assist the Project Manager with managing changes.
  8. Prepare periodic progress reports for senior management.
  9. Define the quality budget and schedule for technical quality reviews of deliverables.
  10. Monitor design progress and identify potential risks or concerns.
  11. Support the FF&E designer by meeting with suppliers and ensuring finishes match the design and project BOQ.
  12. Coordinate with designers, commercial, and procurement teams regarding materials.
  13. Help lead designers and FF&E designers find value engineering options that fit the design, BOQ, and client brief.
  14. Organize and manage work to meet deadlines.
  15. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of your work.
  16. Prepare and update design scope and status reports for the Project Manager.
  17. Attend client meetings to discuss project requirements and obtain design approvals.
  18. Interact with clients, consultants, and other disciplines to resolve critical issues.
  19. Visit sites, coordinate with subcontractors and consultants, and work with the Lead Designer to make necessary changes before production or construction.
  20. Attend internal weekly meetings with the lead designer and operations team.
  21. Confidently present work to colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  22. Contribute to design management during early design phases and throughout the project.
  23. Manage and support a team of senior technical designers and FF&E designers, ensuring compliance with design scope.
  24. Motivate the team to contribute ideas and solutions.
  25. Promote teamwork and a positive, productive culture within the company.
  26. Assist Directors with operational tasks, including developing and implementing Technical Excellence initiatives, managing resources, and training.
Requirements:
  1. Degree / Diploma in architecture or interior design
  2. Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar position
  3. Expert in use of software: AutoCAD / Photoshop / SketchUp / Microsoft Office
