Food Technologist
Job details
As a Food Technologist you will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of food products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all products meet consumer demands, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and development of new food products, including formulating recipes and improving existing ones
- Analyze food samples to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Test product stability, shelf life, and sensory attributes
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to understand consumer trends and preferences
- Documentation of all processes, formulations, and findings to ensure traceability and compliance
- Stay updated with food technology trends, regulations, and market demands
- Work with suppliers to source quality ingredients and materials
- Conduct training sessions for production staff on new processes and ingredients
- Support the quality assurance team in addressing any product concerns
- Perform any other related job duties as requested by the supervisor
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in food product development or quality assurance
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and food analysis
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
