Position: Content and Social Media (Senior) Specialist Reports to: Marketing Manager Location: Fully Remote (Start daily at 8:30 AM CST to collaborate with team members) About Us: Our client is an established cybersecurity company based in Chicago, looking for a Content and Social Media Specialist. Role Overview: Under the guidance of the Marketing Manager, you will co-create and execute content strategies to grow our online presence, engage our audience, and support business growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain high-quality, compelling content across various platforms, including websites, blogs, social media, white papers, and sales materials.
- Ensure content aligns with the buyers journey and addresses the needs of different personas and stages of the sales funnel.
- Produce SEO content aligned with our SEO strategy and adapt content to appropriate keywords.
- Execute and assist in the development of an intentional social media strategy across selected channels.
- Maintain a social media posting calendar.
- Track and analyze social media and content metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendor partners to gather information and develop content that showcases company expertise and/or supports our SEO strategy.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and evolving content tools and formats.
- Work with the Marketing Manager to identify content needs, updates, and revisions, and formulate a workable content roadmap.
- Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns to promote services and events.
- Experience: 3+ years in content and social media marketing, specifically for B2B purposes.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the cybersecurity industry (not required to be a technical expert, but knowledge is a significant advantage).
- Skills:
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Proficiency in SEO techniques and content optimization.
- C2 or native-level English proficiency.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (HubSpot preferred).
- Previous remote work experience.
- Ability to work in the US Central Time zone.
- Higher education degree.
- Knowledge of AI tools.
- Experience in tracking content performance and making data-driven improvements.
- Proficiency in Canva or InDesign for minor design tasks.
