Avantor is seeking a motivated Manager (f/m/d) to join our team in Dublin. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of seventeen, via four direct reports. The diverse team consists of: Materials Controllers, Lab Technicians, and Data Analysts. The position provides a high level of satisfaction due to its dual responsibility; managing, leading, and growing a team and serving a high-profile customer. Delivering on KPI's, SLA's and being the 'go-to' manager for the site. This is a full-time permanent position based at our customer site in Dublin 15. Working hours: Monday-Thursday, 07:30 - 16:00, Friday 07:30-15:00 The team With your team of four direct reports, you will belong to our department Laboratory and Production Services, which supports leading pharmaceutical companies and laboratories worldwide, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry. Industry experience not required, experience in logistics, inventory management, and team leadership in alternative industries welcome. What we’re looking for Education: Completed Leaving Certificate together with further education certificate in a business-related qualification. Experience:
- 3-4 years of people management experience with a track record of recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and leading teams to success
- Experience with customer service or account management
- Experience delivering results against set KPIs and SLAs
- Track record of optimizing and improving processes
- Solid understanding and experience in inventory & stock management as well as purchasing
- Good understanding of GMP/GLP or related Health & Safety Regulations would be an asset
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders within a matrix environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines coupled with sound decision-making skills
- Excellent communicator at all levels and enjoys working as part of a team
- Proficient in data capture, analysis, and reporting utilizing various IT systems
- Full driving license & own car required
- Provide leadership, development, coaching, and motivation to your direct reports
- Monitor performance against set KPIs and conduct yearly reviews to identify areas of improvement and career development opportunities
- Budget and project management
- Encourage growth within the customer account, providing additional services
- Ensure adherence to quality, EHS, and other Health & Safety standards; act as a point of contact for audits
