About the team: As part of our Europe Procurement team you'll play a pivotal role in not only contributing to performance but also building and protecting Diageo's reputation across our supply base. This involves delivering outstanding end-to-end value across our supply chain through our commercial leadership, offering innovative supplier solutions, and driving our sustainability agenda across our partners and suppliers. Diageo Europe includes the market clusters of Great Britain, Ireland, Northern Europe, Southern Europe, Eastern Europe and MENA (Middle East North Africa) as well as our Corporate and GBS Indirects spend within geographical Europe. About the Role: The Europe Indirects procurement team is responsible for the management of circa $400m spend across the categories of Real Estate & Facilities Management, HR Services, Professional Services and Route-To-Consumer. This particular role will be responsible for leading the HR Services category including fleet, recruitment, temporary labour, learning & development, domestic mobility and benefits. This role is about people as much as numbers. Building relationships internally, so you know what we need; and externally, so you know what can be achieved. Then, you’ll find the right matches for our requirements – and see those deals through. Responsibilities:- Deliver financial and non-financial targets.
- Deploy Europe/Global category strategies.
- Deliver excellence through sourcing, demand management, supplier relationship management, supplier development and supplier innovation.
- Lead and implement ongoing supplier performance through the setting of rigorous performance KPI’s and SLA’s and through the application of a robust supplier review mechanism.
- Key collaboration with stakeholders ensuring full engagement.
- Promote the highest standards of compliance consistency.
- Degree educated or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Fluent in English. Fluent in other European language is a benefit.
- Procurement and or Business experience in key skills including, negotiations, forecasting and benchmarking.
- Strong analytical skills including data interpretation to enable development and implementation of category strategies.
- Ability to find opportunities, identify and balance risks and benefits and take action to deliver the most beneficial outcome for the business.
- Forensic understanding of the cost drivers to target and influence costs through end-to-end value.
- Ability to identify and problem solve independently.
- Commercial competence, understanding of the business and judgment.
- Ability to work in an agile, fast moving environment and ability to keep up with pace of change and prioritise according to business needs.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with stakeholders.
