Kitchen and Laundry Technician

What you will be doing:

1. Ensure that all kitchen and laundry equipment are properly maintained and serviced to avoid breakdowns.
2. Perform preventive maintenance and complete the turnover quickly and efficiently to satisfy and meet guest needs.
3. Respond to equipment breakdowns and be available in case of emergencies, applying the appropriate actions as per hotel policy and standards.
4. Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests and colleagues' health and safety, as well as to conserve the environment.
5. Comply with the hotel environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
6. Perform general repair and maintenance duties regarding laundry plumbing and electrical systems.
7. Conduct elementary painting and finishing of furniture and structures.
8. Check electrical systems such as refrigeration controls, television sets, and lighting systems, making minor repairs as needed.
9. Check and make minor repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipelines, toilets, and sinks.
10. Perform basic maintenance and repair of laundry equipment using manuals and their past history.
11. Reissue and exchange worn-out clothing.
12. Maintain security measures by counting and making rounds through the laundry on a periodic basis.
13. Ensure that no ironing or starching is done on unauthorized clothing.
14. Ensure that the proper amount of cleaned clothing is returned to the delivering officer.
15. Ensure that the building, as well as the outside area designated for laundry, is kept clean and secure.
